The Annaprasana ceremony in Tirumala offers an auspicious and memorable way to introduce solid food to an infant. To book Annaprasana (first feeding) ceremony in Tirumala, follow the procedure and booking details provided below:

Procedure:

  1. Visit the official website of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) at www.tirumala.org.
  2. Navigate to the “Seva” section or “Online Seva” section on the website.
  3. Look for the option to book Annaprasana ceremony and click on it.
  4. Fill in the required details such as date of ceremony, child’s name, parent’s names, etc.
  5. Choose the preferred time slot based on availability.
  6. Proceed to make the payment for the Annaprasana ceremony.

Booking Details:

  1. Annaprasana can be booked online through the official TTD website.
  2. It is advisable to book the ceremony in advance to secure your preferred date and time slot.
  3. The cost for the Annaprasana ceremony is Rs. 200 per child.
  4. Ensure that you provide accurate information while booking the ceremony.
  5. After successful booking, you will receive a confirmation email or SMS with the details of the ceremony.
  6. On the day of the ceremony, reach the designated location, Purohit Sangam (Kalyana Vedika), at the specified time.

Timings:

The Annaprasana ceremony is conducted between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm daily. It is important to note that the timings are subject to change, so it is recommended to check the official website or contact the temple authorities for the most up-to-date information regarding Annaprasana timings.

Preferable Dress Code for the Puja

Gents: Dhoti (White) & Shirt or Kurta & Pyajama.

Ladies: Saree or Salwar Kameez (With Pallu Compulsory).

All pilgrims are requested not to wear clothes such as T-shirt, Jeans etc as the same are strictly prohibited irrespective of any age group. For Child, there is no dress code restriction.

Annaprasana Procedure in Tirumala

  1. One priest will be performing the Annaprasana for Group or Single.
  2. The Pilgrims have to carry the required Puja materials, which can be purchased here at Tirumala Rambagicha Guesthouse.
  3. For Annaprasana at Purohit Sangam, ticket can be purchased at the counter offline.
  4. Puja will be performed for one child or Group, which depends on the Puja date and Muhurtham Timings.
  5. Dakshina to the priest is upto the devotee as it is not mandatory
  6. Online booking option is not available for Annaprasana tickets.
  7. Usually Group varies from 1 to 5.
  8. Pooja starts with Ganapathi Pooja.
  9. Annaprasadam will be fed to the baby with the Silver Ring/ Gold Ring.
  10. Usually maternal uncle will do the Annaprasana.
