Can we visit Tirumala now?

Yes, you can currently visit Tirumala. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has resumed darshan at the temple. However, there are a few restrictions in place. These restrictions include:

  • Dress code: Pilgrims must wear clean and preferably white clothing.
  • No shoes: Pilgrims must remove their shoes before entering the temple.
  • No food or drinks: Pilgrims must not eat or drink anything inside the temple.
  • No smoking: Pilgrims must not smoke inside the temple.
  • No photography: Pilgrims must not take photographs inside the temple.
  • No touching the deity: Pilgrims must not touch the deity.
  • Social distancing: Pilgrims must maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.
  • Masks: Pilgrims must wear masks at all times.

The TTD has also introduced a number of measures to ensure the safety of pilgrims, such as:

  • Increased number of counters for darshan tickets: The TTD has increased the number of counters for darshan tickets in order to reduce the waiting time.
  • Installation of thermal scanners: Thermal scanners have been installed at all entry points to the temple to check the temperature of pilgrims.
  • Providing hand sanitizer: Hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed throughout the temple premises.
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfection: The temple premises are being cleaned and disinfected more frequently.
