Where can I store my Mobile Phone in Tirumala?

Tirumala TTD Mobile Phone Locker

For the safety of the pilgrims and the temple, TTD has established certain rules and regulations that all visitors to the Tirumala temple are required to follow. Due to high security concerns, pilgrims are prohibited from bringing any electronic items into the temple. Mobile Phones, Mobile Phone Accessories such as earphones and portable chargers, Cameras, Camera lenses, Fitbands, and all other electronic items are prohibited from being brought into the Tirumala temple.

Are cell phones permitted in the tirumala temple?

Mobile phones, accessories, and other electronic devices are not permitted inside the Tirumala temple.

Are purses and wallets permitted in the tirumala temple?

Yes. Purses and wallets are permitted in the tirumala temple if they do not contain any prohibited items.

Are purses permitted in tirumala?

Yes. Handbags are permitted in the tirumala temple if they do not contain any prohibited items.

Prior to entering the temple, there will be a security check. If the pilgrims are caught carrying electronic items, the items will be confiscated and the pilgrims will have to go through a lengthy process to retrieve them. Occasionally, pilgrims are unable to retrieve the items, and the unclaimed items are auctioned off through a different process.

Pilgrims who wish to receive Darshan at the Tirupati Balaji temples must therefore deposit their electronic items at the free TTD-operated Depositing counters before proceeding to Darshan. The items can be collected from the Collection Centers following the Darshan.

Location of Free Mobile Phone Lockers

Please note that all electronic devices must be stored in these mobile lockers, for which a token will be provided. If you present the token at the Collection Centers after the Darshan, your items will be returned.

If your Reporting Place is Vaikuntam Que Complex I or II, you can deposit your mobile phones and electronic devices at the Luggage deposit counter directly across from the VQC I. Once the items are deposited, a receipt will be issued that must be presented upon delivery.
Rs. 300 Near the reporting points for Special Darshan, Sarva Darshan, and Divya Darshan, there are Luggage Deposit counters where devotees can leave their belongings. The location of the Luggage Collection Center is at the Sarva Darshan Entrance.

Mobile Phone Delivery Center

All Mobile Phones and luggage deposited at Collection Centers can be retrieved from the Delivery Center, which is located in the Old Annadanam building, PAC IV. Regardless of where you left your luggage before going to Darshan, the items will be transferred to the Common delivery centre, and pilgrims will be able to retrieve their belongings at these counters. Pilgrims are required to present the Receipt that was issued at the time of luggage deposit when claiming their luggage.
