Vishnu Nivasam Tirupati, TTD’s Largest Railway-Station Accommodation

Vishnu Nivasam is a TTD-managed pilgrim complex in Tirupati city, opened in 2011 with 408 rooms, nine halls and 706 lockers. It is the largest TTD accommodation near Tirupati Railway Station and a primary choice for family groups arriving by train. TTD has progressively expanded the online advance booking quota at Vishnu Nivasam from an initial 100 rooms to 483 rooms across the complex.

Room types and inventory split

TTD splits Vishnu Nivasam allotment 50/50 between online advance booking and on-arrival offline allotment. As of the latest TTD board update, 483 rooms are available for online advance booking, leaving the balance for current booking via the on-arrival queue at the Vishnu Nivasam reception.

Room categories:

• Non-AC rooms, basic, two beds, attached bathroom with geyser, fan, wardrobe
• AC standard rooms, same layout with AC; the most common tariff
• AC family rooms, larger, three or four beds, suited for joint families
• Hall accommodation, for large pilgrim groups; bookable separately via the TTD Tirupati office

Tariffs run from approximately Rs. 200 (non-AC) to Rs. 1,500 (AC family) depending on the date and block. The current figure for your dates is shown on ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in at the time of selection.

How to book online

1. Log in to ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in using the head pilgrim’s registered mobile number.
2. Choose Accommodation, then Tirupati, then Vishnu Nivasam.
3. Pick the date and room category. Advance booking window is 60 days.
4. Enter every pilgrim’s name and government-issued photo ID number; children must be added at booking, not at check-in.
5. Pay through UPI, debit card or net banking. Save the booking confirmation PDF.

The daily inventory release window is 11:00 AM IST. Weekend dates can sell out within hours of release.

Current booking (on-arrival) option

50% of inventory is reserved for current booking. Walk up to the Vishnu Nivasam reception, register with Aadhaar and mobile number, and you receive a token. If a room is available, allotment is immediate; otherwise the token waits in queue. The current booking option is particularly useful for pilgrims arriving without an advance booking, on a weekday afternoon.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 8:00 AM. Pilgrims arriving within six hours of the selected reporting slot are allotted; arrivals beyond six hours late may forfeit the room. Check-out is 8:00 AM the next day (a 24-hour cycle).

Carry: two printouts of the confirmation slip, the original photo ID of every pilgrim on the booking, and any darshan ticket or token you already hold.

Vishnu Nivasam vs other TTD Tirupati complexes

• vs Srinivasam, Srinivasam is opposite the bus stand; Vishnu Nivasam is near the railway station. Choose by inbound mode.
• vs Madhavam, Both near the railway station. Vishnu Nivasam has 2.5x the inventory, free food, and SSD token issue; Madhavam has a smaller, quieter feel.
• vs Tirumala-hill accommodation, Vishnu Nivasam is in Tirupati city. If you want to wake up on Tirumala hill before darshan, you need TTD’s Tirumala-side rooms (Padmavathi Rest House, Vaikuntham etc.), which book separately.
