APSRTC Tirumala Darshan Package — Bus + Special Entry Darshan Combination
APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) offers combined packages that bundle bus travel from major AP / Telangana cities to Tirupati with a TTD Rs. 300 Special Entry Darshan ticket. The package is a logistics shortcut for pilgrims who prefer not to coordinate the bus and darshan ticket separately. Bookings are made at APSRTC bus stations or through the APSRTC online portal; the darshan ticket honoured by the package is the standard TTD Rs. 300 SED.
What the package includes
- Round-trip APSRTC bus from your starting city to Tirupati and back
- One Rs. 300 TTD Special Entry Darshan ticket per pilgrim (issued on confirmation of the package)
- Coordinated reporting time at Vaikuntam Queue Complex on the booked darshan date
- Free APSRTC shuttle from Tirupati to Tirumala on the darshan day, included in the package fare
The package does NOT include hotel accommodation in Tirupati. Pilgrims need to book TTD accommodation (Srinivasam, Madhavam, Vishnu Nivasam) or private hotels separately.
How to book
- Visit the APSRTC online portal at apsrtconline.in or any APSRTC bus station counter.
- Look under “Tirumala Darshan Package” or “Spl Entry Darshan + Bus Combo.
- Pick your starting city, travel date and the darshan date. The bus departure is typically the night before the darshan date.
- Enter the pilgrim names and government-issued photo ID numbers — required for the TTD darshan ticket.
- Pay the combined fare (bus + Rs. 300 darshan ticket + service charge).
Major boarding cities with current APSRTC darshan packages: Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Bangalore (some routes), Kurnool, Anantapur, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, and Tirupati’s regional satellites.
Reporting and use
On the darshan date, APSRTC drops the package pilgrims at the Tirupati APSRTC central bus stand. From there, free APSRTC shuttles run to Tirumala via the Alipiri tollgate. The TTD Rs. 300 ticket has a specific reporting time at Vaikuntam Queue Complex — plan the bus arrival and shuttle to leave at least three hours buffer for the climb and reporting.
Carry: APSRTC package confirmation slip, the TTD Rs. 300 ticket PDF/printout, and original photo ID for every pilgrim listed.
How this compares to booking separately
- Convenience — Package is a single payment; no separate online TTD booking required. Better for elderly pilgrims or first-timers.
- Cost — Package fare is typically Rs. 150 to Rs. 400 more than booking the bus and TTD ticket independently (service charge + APSRTC margin). The convenience is real but not free.
- Flexibility — Package locks you into specific bus and darshan dates. If you book independently, you can switch buses or postpone the bus leg, though the TTD darshan ticket is still final.
- Availability — Package allots Rs. 300 quota from a specific APSRTC pool. On busy weekends, this pool can be exhausted faster than the online TTD pool.
Special Entry Darshan tickets at post offices
Beyond APSRTC, TTD also offers Rs. 300 Special Entry Darshan ticket booking through nine selected post offices in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The post office route is useful for pilgrims without online access — book at the counter with Aadhaar and pay in cash, then collect the ticket printout. The same Rs. 300 base price applies.
Current booking counter for Rs. 300 in Tirupati
TTD also operates a Rs. 300 current booking counter directly in Tirupati for same-day or next-day darshan slots. This is a walk-up counter — limited inventory, opens early morning, usually exhausted by 9 AM on busy days.
Common questions
Is the APSRTC package the only way to get a Rs. 300 darshan ticket from outside AP? No. The TTD online portal at ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in sells Rs. 300 tickets at 11 AM IST daily for the date 7 days ahead, accessible from anywhere in the world.
Can the APSRTC bus drop me at Tirumala directly? APSRTC long-distance buses terminate at Tirupati city. The Tirupati-to-Tirumala leg (the ghat road climb) is on a separate shuttle, which the package includes free of charge.
What if my APSRTC bus is delayed and I miss the darshan reporting time? TTD’s darshan ticket is forfeit if you miss the reporting window. APSRTC does not compensate for the TTD ticket in case of bus delay. Build buffer time into the schedule.
Can I cancel the APSRTC package? Bus tickets can typically be cancelled with a fee (APSRTC policy). The TTD darshan portion is non-refundable per TTD’s blanket policy on darshan tickets.
For current package routes, fares and the booking portal, only use apsrtconline.in (APSRTC) and ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in (TTD) for the darshan ticket directly.
