Tirumala Arjitha Brahmotsavam, Daily Seva Details and Booking
Arjitha Brahmotsavam is the daily, small-scale ceremonial reenactment of the annual Salakatla Brahmotsavam festival at Tirumala. Sponsoring devotees witness a structured ritual in which Sri Malayappa Swamy (the processional silver idol) is taken in a procession with selected vahanas, and the sponsoring devotees receive a Special Entry Darshan afterward. The seva costs Rs. 200 per ticket, runs daily in the afternoon, and is bookable through the TTD online quota system released on the first Friday of each month.
What the seva includes
- Sponsoring sponsor name read out during the formal Sankalpam declaration
- Witnessing the smaller-scale daily Brahmotsavam ritual at the temple
- One Special Entry Darshan immediately after the seva, Supadam route, no separate ticket
- Two laddu prasadam coupons
- Sandalwood and kumkum prasadam
How Arjitha Brahmotsavam differs from the annual Salakatla Brahmotsavam

|---|---|---|
| Frequency | Daily afternoon | Once per year, 9 days in Sept-Oct |
| Scale | Small ritual reenactment | Full nine-day festival with all vahanas |
| Cost | Rs. 200 / ticket | Free spectator; paid reserved seating Rs. 500-2,000 |
| Booking | Online Arjitha Seva quota | Annual reserved-seating booking opens 30-60 days ahead |

What’s the difference from Kalyanotsavam?
- Kalyanotsavam (11:00 AM, Rs. 1,500/couple), Celestial wedding ritual. Two adults + 3 children below 12 per ticket.
- Arjitha Brahmotsavam (afternoon, Rs. 200/person), Smaller-scale Brahmotsavam reenactment. Per-person ticket.
Both include Special Entry Darshan after. Kalyanotsavam is more elaborate and more famous; Arjitha Brahmotsavam is more affordable and easier to book.
Combining with other sevas
Pilgrims sometimes sponsor multiple sevas in one day:
- Suprabhata Seva (3 AM) + Arjitha Brahmotsavam (afternoon), covers early morning and afternoon ritual cycle
- Arjitha Brahmotsavam (afternoon) + Sahasra Deepalankarana (5:30 PM), afternoon + evening
- Arjitha Brahmotsavam (afternoon) + Ekantha Seva (midnight), afternoon + closing
Each seva requires its own ticket; TTD does not bundle.
Cancellation
Per TTD policy, all Arjitha Seva bookings are final. No refund, no postponement, no advancement.
Common questions
Why is it called “Arjitha”? Arjitha (Sanskrit: “earned” or “paid for”) distinguishes paid sevas from the free temple worship. All Arjitha sevas are bookable with payment; sponsoring devotees specifically have ritual access.
Is this the same as Daily Arjitha Sevas in general? Arjitha Brahmotsavam is one specific seva within the broader category of Arjitha Sevas (which also includes Kalyanotsavam, Suprabhata, Sahasra Deepa, etc.). All paid sevas at Tirumala fall under the Arjitha umbrella.
Can I sponsor Arjitha Brahmotsavam on Salakatla Brahmotsavam days? The daily Arjitha Brahmotsavam is suspended during the nine-day annual Salakatla because the full-scale festival takes precedence. Booking for those specific dates is not available.
Is it suitable for first-time temple visitors? Yes. The Arjitha Brahmotsavam is a manageable introduction to the elaborate seva ritual format, shorter than Kalyanotsavam, simpler in structure, more affordable. Good first seva for pilgrims experiencing Tirumala temple rituals for the first time.
Are children allowed? Yes, with their own ticket. Each seat is per-person; children below 12 require a separate Rs. 200 ticket (no free-child rule for sevas).
